Barely Breathing...

Alright, it's 2007 and I am totally lame. At least on the music front. The good news is that I actually picked up a guitar and played over the holidays. The bad news is that I'm still lame and have done ZERO writing or any meaningful playing, recording or even productive listenting, for that matter. Still, a new year brings new promise.

Since my last appearance on the blogosphere, I have managed to take on a couple of video editing projects. Their personal projects and use "found" music as a sound bed for home video of the kids and all that stuff. I bring it up because I have this vague intent to bring the video aspect into the mix of free, open source, open access tools I set out to examine.

Mostly, I've been playing with MS Movie Maker. I know, it's not free but it is bundled with the ubiquitous OS... so you could call it readily available. Purists, grimace away. I can take it.

So that's what's on my mind. I hope to see more of all of you in 2007. Keep the faith. Play music. Just play.
